      Class Overview:
      Welcome to our Quilt Binding Class led our skilled instructor, Sharon. Join us for a hands-on experience where you'll learn both machine and hand binding techniques. Perfect for beginners and seasoned quilters alike, Sharon will guide you through the process of achieving professional-looking edges for your quilts. Elevate your quilting skills with this concise and rewarding workshop!

      Class Details:
      Cost: $15.00+tax (does not include materials)

      Tools Needed:
      Sewing machine in good working order, hand sewing needles, thread, current project or practice fabric that requires binding, ruler, cutting tools.

      Binding Class Preparation Needed:
      When your project has been quilted, trim it to size.
      Measure the perimeter of the project.
      Cut as many 2 ½ “strips, WOF (width of fabric) and be certain to add a minimum of 18-20 inches more than the perimeter measurement.

      If you know how to miter the strips together, please have them mitered and pressed WS together in half. (long edge to long edge) you will have a strip 1 ¼ inches wide.  You will need to have a minimum of 15“ extra length than the perimeter measurement.

      Location: Stitch-it Central, 1161 Hamilton Road, London, Ontario.

      * There is a minimum of 4 participants for this class. If we do not have enough students to run the class, you will be notified via email and the cost of the class will be refunded.
