Longarm Services
At Stitch-It Central, we offer professional longarm quilting services to help bring your quilt top to life. Whether youâve spent weeks or months piecing your project together, weâre here to help you complete it with a beautiful, polished finish.
Our longarm quilting service is designed to enhance your quilt while respecting the time and care youâve already put into it. Each quilt is handled with attention to detail to ensure a smooth, even result from edge to edge.
We offer edge-to-edge quilting using computerized digital design programming, which allows for precise, consistent stitching and crisp, clean patterns across your entire quilt. This method ensures a uniform finish and a professional look that beautifully complements your piecing.
With over 500+ edge-to-edge quilting patterns, youâll have plenty of design optionsâfrom subtle textures to more detailed and decorative finishes.

To ensure the best possible result, please take a few moments to prepare your quilt before bringing it in:
Quilt Top
- Ensure all seams are pressed neatly
- Clip all loose threads (especially important with light and dark fabrics, as threads can show through and cannot be removed after quilting)
- If your quilt is directional, clearly mark the top
- Let us know about any specialty fabrics (such as vinyl or plastic materials) so we can handle your quilt appropriately
Batting
- Batting should be a minimum of 3â4" larger on all sides than your quilt top
- Batting should be in one piece whenever possible
- If piecing is necessary:
- Do not overlap seams, as this can create bumps
- Use a strong zigzag stitch or âFrankenstitchâ (#13 on many newer BERNINA machines) to join pieces
Backing
- Backing should be a minimum of 3â4" larger on all sides than your quilt top
- If your backing is pieced ensure seams are pressed neatly
If youâre unsure about any step, our team is always happy to help before quilting begins.
- Quilt trimming is available for a small fee
- Turnaround times can vary depending on quilt size and current workload
- Final pricing is based on your quilt and design selections
- Backing and batting are available for purchase in-store if needed
- T-shirt quilts may have an additional charge due to the complexity of working with adhesives, logos, patches, and specialty materials
- A $10 charge per area may apply if custom programming is required to quilt around difficult sections (such as thick seams, specialty fabrics, or areas not suitable for standard edge-to-edge quilting)
