Description

Give your darker quilts added depth and richness with Matilda's Own 60% Wool / 40% Polyester Blend with Scrim Batting in Charcoal. Made in Australia, this premium batting combines the natural warmth and loft of wool with the durability of polyester, while the charcoal colour enhances the appearance of dark fabrics and helps colours appear fuller and more vibrant.

A fine scrim locks the fibres in place, helping to reduce bearding and allowing quilting lines up to 10" apart. Soft and easy to quilt by hand or machine, this batting offers excellent stitch stability without the use of resins, sprays, or glues.

The batting is prewashed, preshrunk, and machine washable for easy care. The charcoal fibres are dyed using a three-step fibre reactive dye process, leaving no residual dye in the fibres. With shrinkage of less than 2%, it provides reliable performance and a beautiful finish.

Please note: Charcoal batting is designed for use with dark and richly coloured fabrics. It is not recommended for quilts containing white or very light-coloured fabrics, as the dark batting may show through.
