Description
In this class you will learn the essentials of working with your BERNINA embroidery module. (all models of BERNINA embroidery machines welcome). Topics will include setting up your embroidery module, hooping & stabilizing, supplies & how to navigate your machine. You will learn how to access built-in designs (including text) as well as working with importing designs from the internet. You will leave this class with the confidence to tackle many of your upcoming embroidery projects.

Cost: The class fee is just $60 per person + materials (see below)
Materials:
- BERNINA Sewing Machine & Embroidery Module & all cords and foot pedal
- All hoops that came with your machine
- Centering template and clips that came with your embroidery hoops
- Machine Oil
- Machine Manual
- Embroidery Needles 90/14 (Schmetz or BERNINA preferred)
- USB Stick (must have black inside the USB connection end and 1 to 16 GB is fine).
- BERNINA USB stick is great as well & is initialized to work with BERNINA machines
- Medium weight tear able stabilizer to fit your largest hoop
- Machine embroidery weight thread in various colours like Isacord, Gamut or Mettler machine embroidery thread, assortment of colours
- Bobbin weight thread – 60 Wt. 100% Polyester Recommended (usually finer than machine embroidery thread)- white
- 505 Quilt Basting spray
- Machine embroidery tape (optional but helpful)
- 6” square of denim fabric
- 6” square of cotton fabric
- 1- 6” piece of batting
- Light weight fusible interfacing- ½ yd.
- Practise fabric any colour (solid cotton) – 4 pieces 12 x 12”
- 1 piece of batting 12 x 12” – 80/20” recommended
- Your lap top and charging cord (optional if you want to understand how to transfer designs from OESD)
- Blue wash out pen
- Ruler for cutting fabric- 6 x 12”
- Rotary cutter
- Embroidery Snips
- Note pad, pen & paper
- Your lunch
- A willingness to have fun with embroidery!
* There is a minimum of 6 participants for this class. If we do not have enough students to run the class, you will be notified via email and the cost of the class will be refunded.
