Description
Keep your quilt blocks organized, protected, and portable with your very own set of design boards! In this hands-on workshop, youâll create 18 batting-lined 16" x 16" design boardsâperfect for laying out blocks, planning fabric placement, or transporting your work-in-progress to classes or retreats.
Weâll provide the base boards and battingâjust bring your creativity and some fabric scraps for the "binding" around the edges. This is a great way to use up leftover fabric while creating something incredibly useful for your sewing space!
Cutting Option:
The base boards come in large sheets (96" x 48") and require cutting down to size for the class. To make things easier, weâre offering a pre-cut materials option for an additional $15.00 feeâweâll have all 18 boards and batting pieces trimmed and ready to go when you arrive.
Prefer to cut your own? No problem! Just be sure to bring a suitable utility knife or box cutter with a fresh blade, a metal ruler or straight edge.

What to Bring:
- Scrap Fabric or Fat quarters for binding. Binding needed for each board will be 2.5" x 70" long for each of the boards but you stitch smaller pieces together if needed.
- Sewing Tools (Rotary cutter, scissors, clips, etc)
- Sewing machine
- zig zag foot and zig zag plate for your machine
- Glue Gun and glue sticks (if you have one)
- Sharp Utility Knife or box cutter
- Metal Ruler or straight edge
