I am an aficionado of hardanger embroidery -- and while the doilies and placemats are beautiful table linens, modern society tends to favour wash and wear items with an emphasis on NO IRON! So I have taken on a whole lot less table linen projects to concentrate instead on Christmas ornaments and decorations, which are a whole lot smaller and tend not to need washing and pressing! So I have done a number of white on white hardanger symbols of Christmas, and find this Kreinik braid to add just the right soupcon of colour and the right amount of glitz to some of the projects!
