001HL Silver High Lustre - #8 Kreinik Braid

After several attempts at finding a metallic look thread for highlights in hardanger ornaments, I have found the Kreinik to be the easiest to work with producing sterling results! It took awhile to figure out the right sizes, but I find the #12 braid corresponds to #5 in perle coton, while the #8 braid corresponds to #8 in perle coton -- yes, the numbers seem to go in opposite directions. #16 works in some applications but is generally too thick, and #4 also works in a few applications but is generally too fine. All in all, a great accent thread for hardanger projects!
