How do I Add Items to my Basket?
When you find a product you like, click on the image to see more details of the product. Many products have a choice of colours or styles to choose from. When you have selected the appropriate options enter the quantity you would like to order and click the "Add to Basket" button to add the product(s) to your shopping cart. The product(s) will be added, you will be taken to the basket screen and from here have the option to purchase more of this item, continue shopping, or checkout.

When you view your basket you can change product quantities or remove items.

When you are completely satisfied with your order, click "Checkout" to begin the checkout process. This will take you to our secure server where you can enter your payment and shipping information. All transactions are encrypted for your security.

How do I Place an Order?
Orders can be placed by using our secure on-line shopping basket or can be phoned in. To place on order online enter your bill to and ship to addresses, your payment option, shipping option, and payment information. You will then be asked to confirm your order and a copy of the invoice will be sent to your email address. Orders can also be placed by phone or by downloading our fax form and faxing the completed for to us.

Telephone orders can be placed by calling our local number 1-519-303-1563 Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am – 2:00pm, Sunday we are closed (Eastern Standard Time).

What Taxes are added to my order?
Sales tax for products ordered on this internet site are based on the applicable federal and provincial sales tax rate of the location to which the order is being shipped. Taxes will be added during the checkout process.

Orders shipped to:
Ontario are charged H.S.T.
New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and New Foundland are charged H.S.T.
All other provinces are charged G.S.T
Orders shipped outside Canada are not charged tax from our website but there may be taxes due when the order clears customs. We are not responsible for taxes that are due when items clear customs.

What are my payment options?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and e-cheque through the secure PayPal website. You are NOT required to have a PayPal account to place an order through PayPal. We also accept check and money orders. Your order will be processed and shipped once payment is received and cleared.

Shipping & Returns
What Shipping Methods do you Offer?

All our orders are shipped with Canada Post. If you select Canada Post Letter Mail the order is shipped via the mail system and will not have a tracking number. If you select an Expedited service an email with a tracking number will be sent so you can track the order online on the Canada Post website. If your order states TBD or $0.00 as the shipping price you will receive a second invoice with your shipping costs. This second invoice will be your new total.

Do you ship Internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally depending on the country. If your shipping cost states TBD, $0.00, or "Shipping costs will be calculated" then the shipping rates for your order must be calculated manually. If you would like to know what your shipping costs will be before you place your order, please email us at and specify the product code, the quantity you would like to order, and the shipping address. We will email you back with shipping rates within 2-3 business days. Please note we are not responsible for any customs fee, duty fees, or delays due to customs.

How do I Calculate Shipping Costs?
Shipping costs are calculated based on the product weight and the destination of the order. Shipping rates will be displayed during the checkout process.

Which shipping method should I select?
Delivery times are based on the destination of the order and the carrier you select. Please note that increasing your shipping method DOES NOT decrease our processing time.

Canada Post Letter Mail - Orders are shipped through the Canada post mail delivery service and may take up to two weeks for delivery. There is no tracking number available for this option.

Expedited services - This option will arrive in 2 – 8 business days (remote areas add 7 days) and a tracking number will be sent via email.

Will I receive a tracking number with my order?
Orders shipped with the Expedited Parcel services will receive a tracking number via email. Order shipped via the Canada Post Letter Mail service will not receive tracking numbers.

Delivery Address
Please note:Stitch-it Central is NOT responsible for packages that are damaged, stolen, or left at the wrong house by any of the shipping carriers. Please prevent these problems by insuring you have the correct ship to address and ship to a location where someone will be available to sign for the package. We are not be liable for any packages that arrive late due to shipping problems that arise with our couriers and the Canada Postal System, war, terrorism attacks, or "Acts of God" such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, snow storms, etc.

Can Merchandise be Returned?
We want your shopping experience at Stitch-it Central to be enjoyable, and for that reason we are happy to honour any reasonable return request. When you receive your order, please inspect it carefully to ensure that all items meet your expectations. If you are not satisfied please contact us within 15 days of receiving the order. We cannot accept returns after 15 days. Items must be in their original packaging (unused) to be accepted for a return.

Please make your selections carefully. Due to copyright laws and agreements made between retailers and designers, books, leaflets, charts or kits cannot be returned.

What if I received my order, but some items are damaged or missing?
Please inspect all items carefully when you receive your order. If there is any damage or items missing, please call us at 519-303-1563 at your earliest convenience, but no later than 15 days after the package was received. Keep the original box, packaging materials, as well as any paperwork that came on or in the box. We may request that you email us a digital photograph of the damaged box and/or items.

Upon receipt of the product we will credit you for the merchandise and taxes only. We recommend using a shipping service that will provide a tracking number. Products damaged or lost during return shipping will not be refunded. Shipping and processing charges will not be refunded. Allow 5 to 7 business days for your return to be processed.

Do you charge a Restocking or Cancelation Fee?
Orders or items that are cancelled after we have ordered from a supplier will be charged a cancelation fee. For returned items, a restocking fee will be added to the order. The fee is based on the return or cancelation value before taxes:
$0.01 - $100 = $3.00
$100.01 +     = 5% of product or order total before tax

Refused Orders and Undeliverable Orders
If a delivery is refused for any reason, or considered undeliverable due to an invalid shipping address entered by the customer, extra shipping charges will be charged. Please proofread your order before finalizing.

How long before I receive my refund?
After we receive the return and inspect the package the credit will be processed in 5-7 business days. Please allow adequate time for you banking institution to process the credit card. Refunds due to cancelled orders are also processed in 5-7 business days.

What are Stitch-it Points?
Login to an existing account or create a new account to start accumulating Stitch-it Points. These points are then added to your account every time you place an order online. Use these points to save money every time you place an order or you can save your points and redeem them at another time. There is a $10 minimum purchase to accumulate points. Stitch-it Points are redeemed during the checkout process and are applied to the order total excluding shipping and taxes.
